Just a quick heads up: our exhibition match with pros and pubbers is going to begin shortly. If we're being honest, we're 10% excited, 90% terrified. You should also be terrified, because our usual MO is to take notes of everything that happens during a match, then make changes to the game in bitter, small-minded retaliation. If Dave Riller can't kill someone because they're hiding behind a wall? Guess what? That wall's toast in tomorrow's patch. And if I get killed by too many Scouts, then there'll be no more Scouts, in any game, ever. Double jumps will be a fond memory in your grandad's head. Trust us on this. We have connections at Nintendo. Mario will develop a sudden desire to wear lead weighted boots.

Head over to the ETF2L page to see how you can watch the fun.

Could go into tech forum, but it's still related to TF2 :/

Anyway. I have a script for scout that binds M1, M2 and M3 to scattergun, pistol, and the bat (same button again to attack). It works perfectly, with only one problem- when I switch to another class the script is still working and switches to secondary/melee weapon for that class. Not good when your second most played class is heavy, like me.

Any help anyone?

BTW, the script is

alias "+scatter" "slot1;+attack;"
alias "-scatter" "-attack"
alias "+pistol" "slot2;+attack;"
alias "-pistol" "-attack"
alias "+bat" "slot3;+attack;"
alias "-bat" "-attack"
bind "mouse1" "+scatter"
bind "mouse2" "+pistol"
bind "mouse3" "+bat"

Since our recent TF2maps.net Art Pass Contest, our level designers have gone back to their default state at the TF2 offices, which is to say, doing nothing, taking naps, eating lunch, and complaining. This has become a bit of a poison pill for the rest of the TF2 team, all of whom possess strong opinions about working (against it), naps (pro), lunches (very pro) and complaining (big fans).

Balloon race isn't bad, but the sniper rifle is a bit OP in my opinion and can ruin the gameplay. With the sniper rifle, there are often sniper wars and people not contributing to the team by wandering off far away into the water or staying behind at one of the cps just so they can snipe people on the boats from a distance.

I've played on the Crazy GFL version of balloon race which has the sniper rifle disabled which I thought to be much more fun. There was only the occasional huntsman sniper who decided to stay behind or did so accidentally.

I'm not sure what other people think, but balloon race can be a bit stale sometimes, especially when you're the only one who is even attempting to move your boat.

Howdy folks.

I got a little bored today, so I made up a nifty Main Menu replacement for TF2 that has all the current GM Servers right on the front page.

I've been tweaking the Main Menu override ever since the Mac update, when Valve switched to that horrible pop-up style menu system.

Anyway, I've uploaded it and it's available if you want to use it.

If it looks wrong on your game...well, you most likely have a different set up than me. Figure it out for yourself.

I just did this with Marc and a few other dudes, and it was very enjoyable.

We obviously didn't have any tweaked stuff or plugins, so it was a bit messy.

Rules:
Due to high demand, an update to the entire suggestion.

- RED only has soldiers
- BLU only has pyros
- Pyros can only have flamethrower and flaregun.
- Soldiers can only have Rocket launcher and shovel
- Flamethrower can only airblast
- Soldiers are not affected by the knockback of their own rockets
- All weapons have infinite ammo
- Sortof arena mode, but with respawning, and timed. Teams swap after every x minutes.
- optional for balance: deflected rockets have a (very slight) homing effect on the soldier who fired the rocket.

Anything to the previous may be edited, removed or added for balance.

This may just be another hit. I doubt it, but if enough people join and spread the word, we may just have another success.
